Care for Quilts

Please don’t store away your quilts. Enjoy them and display them. They are made of 100% cotton. The batting is cotton, poly/cotton or polyester. You may wash your quilt in cold water. Some people prefer to use a gentle cleaner. There are many on the market. Never use bleach. You may dry your quilt in the dryer on low. The quilt will pucker a little if it is the first time it has been washed. This is completely normal and expected. Please don’t let direct sunlight fall on your quilt as it may cause fading. We try to use only the best fabrics but we don’t have control of the dyes used in manufacturing. If you must store the quilt, use cloth to store it in. Never use plastic as it can damage or mildew a quilt. They must breath. Put them were you would want to reside.
